Michael Valigosky, PhD, MSOH, CIH, CSP, RBP |
Bio
Dr. Valigosky has over twenty-five years of extensive environmental, occupational
safety and health practice, teaching, research and service. Major areas of expertise
include industrial hygiene, healthcare (Joint Commission/CMS), laboratory safety including
work with biological agent safety and security, radiation safety, hazardous materials
management, exposure prevention, emergency preparedness, and all aspects of environmental
health and safety management. He previously served as Director of Environmental Health
and Radiation Safety at the University of Toledo. His research interests include the
environmental and occupational effects of harmful algal blooms in Lake Erie along
with traditional industrial hygiene research on industrial chemical exposure. He currently
teaches sections or portions of Emergency Preparedness and Response, Environmental
Health, Physical Agents, Bio-Agents, Air Contaminants, Occupational Safety and Biostatistics.
