Program Administrator

Position Summary:
The Program Administrator is a grant funded position. The position will work with the Director of Economic Engagement and Business Development Programs (Director) in routine and non-routine responsibilities of the daily operations and administrative aspects of the LaunchPad Incubation Program (LPI) and its accompanying grant programs. 

This position assists the Director with daily operations and administrative aspects of the department. This position also provides a level of support to the Director and Manager of the LaunchPad Incubation Program. This position may be involved in special projects as assigned. 

This is a confidential position as the administrator interfaces with LPI and Rocket Innovations companies and their technologies, faculty, staff, residents and students, and also may be the first line of contact for public and private partners as well as potential new clients. 
 
Qualifications:
Education/experience/licensing: 
- Associate degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Communications or related area with four years relevant experience; OR eight years relevant experience in lieu of degree required. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Communications or related area preferred. 
- Three years of higher-level administrative support required, preferably in a startup company or higher education. 
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and Publisher). 
- Must be knowledgeable of and very familiar with event planning 
- Knowledge of office administration practices and fiscal accounting principles. 


Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR)  

This is a grant funded position for an Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) who assists in the delivery an effective program focused in high tech and high growth commercialization projects ensuring best practices and significant impact to the region and the state. The EIR works with the LaunchPad Incubation team and the Executive Director of Rocket Innovations and contributes to all aspects of the success of the program. The EIR also works closely with internal UT resources and external partners to deliver specific outcomes and results that meet the needs of all key stakeholders including the University of Toledo's faculty and students, and the State of Ohio Third Frontier. The EIR's duties will include but are not limited to: individualized connections with UT faculty and researchers, business development advising for LaunchPad Incubation clients, mentor and advisor recruiting and screening; development of business models and plans, set and monitor client milestones; working with clients and others to identify and obtain grant, investment and other capital resources; identifying and meeting client needs in recruitment of management talent and advisors. The EIR will also assist in the design and delivery of innovation and educational workshops and entrepreneurship programs as needed to clients, others in the University community and in the Northwest Ohio region.
