Teleconferencing


Buckeye Teleconferencing has been replaced with Cisco Webex Conferencing.  To request a Webex account, please submit a help desk ticket by calling 419.530.2400 (Main Campus) or 419.383.2400 (Health Science Campus) or you can use the help desk icon on your desktop.  You will not be billed for Webex services at this time.  For more information, visit Cisco Webex Conferencing(PDF Instructions)

Below are instructions on making conference calls from your Cisco 8841 telephone.

  • Call the first party
  • From the connected call (not on hold), press the black button associated with the two dots at the bottom right hand corner of the screen.
  • Press the black button associated with conference.
  • Make a new call
  • After the second party answers, press conference again.
  • Repeat the above steps to add more participants to the call.

The maximum number allowed on the conference call is 8 people.


How to place a three-way call on main campus
From a single line, NEC DTR-1 or a Cortelco telephone
  • Flash the switch hook once
  • Listen for the special dial tone
  • Dial the number of the third party
  • When they answer, announce the three-way call
  • Flash the switch hook again
  • All three parties are now connected
From a Dterm Phone
  • Call the first party
  • Dial the number of the third party
  • When they answer, announce the three-way call
  • Press the conference key
  • All three parties are now connected
How to make up to an eight-way call on the Health Science Campus 
  • Call the first party
  • Press flash
  • Dial the next number
  • Press the conference or flash key, *4 to connect to each party
To reconnect with conference if the call is busy or not answered
  • Press CNCT
