Main Campus Telephones
- How do I place an on campus call?
When calling from campus to another Main Campus line simply dial the 4-digit extension of the individual or office you are trying to reach. To call the Health Science Campus dial 68 - then the 4-digit extension.

To place a local call while on campus dial a -9-, then the area code and then the seven digit number.

To place a long distance call while on campus dial a -9- first, then a-1-, the area code and then the seven digit number.

The telephone you are using may be restricted and will not allow you to call off campus, long distance or internationally.

Check to see if your phone is plugged into a jack. If you are plugged in and are still having problems call x2400 and report the problem to a Help Desk Operator or you can also log into support.utoledo.edu and Submit a New Help Desk Request.

From a single line, Panasonic or cortelco phone: call the first individual, flash the switch hook once, listen for the special dial tone, dial the number of the third party, when they answer announce the three-way call, press the switch hook again and all three parties are now connected. From a Dterm phone: call the first party, press the transfer key, dial the number of the third party, when they answer announce the three-way call, press the Conf Key and all three parties are now connected.

If you are having a problem with your telephone you can call x2400 and report the problem to a Help Desk Operator or you can also log into support.utoledo.edu and Submit a New Help Desk Request.

- When transferring callers and voice mail picks up how
do I get the caller back?
To return to your caller press the star key (*) three times.

when I am away from campus?
Dial 419.530.6600, you will reach the Message Center and be asked for a mailbox, press the star (*) key and enter the last four digits of your telephone number, the system will then prompt you for your password.

into voice mail - how do I get voice mail back?
Pick up your handset and press the star (*) key and the 8 key, listen for the feature tone and dial 6600.

Telecommunications cannot "look up" passwords, only set new ones. We will need to speak with the individual who changed the password.

At any point while you are listening to the greeting, you can press -2- or the -#- key. The system will give a quick beep to prompt you to leave your message. Keep in mind some individuals have this feature turned off.

The first step is enrollment. Contact Mary Kurtz at x4805 or via email at mary.kurtz@utoledo.edu. Once your account has been created you will receive email instructions on how to personalize your account and forward your telephone.

- How do I reach the Health Science Campus operator?
To reach the operator when calling on campus dial -0-. If you are calling from off campus dial 419.383.4000.

To make a conference call (allows up to 8 parties to a conversation): Call the first party, press FLASH, Dial the next number, Press CONF or FLASH *4 to connect to each party. To reconnect with conference if call is busy or not answered press CNCT.
