Dr. Lynn W. BachelorAssociate Professor |
The politics and problems of cities fascinate me. I have lived in big cities more than half of my life. After graduating from the University of Chicago, I moved to Detroit, where I taught at Wayne State University and worked in the City of Detroit personnel department. In my research, I've studied the relationships between city governments and private businesses, and the effects of projects like automobile assembly plants and sports stadiums on rebuilding older cities.
Myresearch focuses on evaluating outcomes of community development in collaboration with faculty from the Department of Geography
and the
Geographic Information Science and Applied Geographics Center. In Spring 2006 I am a Faculty Fellow with Neighborworks in
Washington, DC.
