Honors in Political Science

The department offers Honors study both through its involvement with the University-wide honors program and through our own undergraduate program. Those who are likely to have a grade-point average of at least 3.3 by time of graduation are encouraged to apply for departmental honors, which requires the completion of:

• PSC  3990 Independent Study for Honors (3 cr.)
• PSC  3900 Honors Seminar  (3 cr.)
• PSC  4960 Senior Honors Thesis (3 cr.)
• Specialized Studies

With the guidance of a member of the faculty, students may design a specialized program of study, such as political communications, political economy, political leadership or citizenship.
