Applications are invited for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level
in the Department of Biochemistry and Cancer Biology at the University of Toledo,
College of Medicine and Life Sciences. We are seeking early career scientists working
at the cellular or molecular level on topics relevant to cancer initiation, progression,
and metastasis, or novel approaches to cancer treatment. The University of Toledo
College of Medicine and Life Sciences offers a collegial and collaborative academic
research environment. Current interests in the department include chromatin remodeling,
signal transduction, protein trafficking, lipid metabolism and regulation of cancer
cell proliferation, invasion and death.
A PhD or MD degree, impressive postdoctoral reseach accomplishments and excellent communication skills are required. The successful candidate will be expected to establish and maintain an active research program supported by extramural funding and to contribute to graduate and medical education. Laboratory space and start-up resources will be provided.
