Applications are invited for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in the Department of Biochemistry and
Cancer Biology at the University of Toledo, College of Medicine (http://www.utoledo.edu/med/depts/biochem/profiles.html). Early career scientists working at the cellular, molecular or genetic level on research projects that address cancer development,
progression or treatment are encouraged to apply. The University of Toledo College of Medicine is targeting cancer research
for strategic emphasis with a competitive start-up package and excellent research facilities available to the successful candidate.
Situated on the Health Science Campus, the University of Toledo College of Medicine offers a highly collegial and collaborative
academic research environment. Research interests in the department include epigenetics, signal transduction, DNA damage/repair,
and the regulation and function of genes involved in cancer cell growth, invasion/metastasis and death. A Ph.D. or M.D. degree,
substantial postdoctoral research accomplishments and excellent communication skills are required. The successful candidate
will be expected to establish and maintain an active research program with extramural funding and to contribute to the educational
missions of the graduate and medical programs.
