The Program in Bioinformatics & Proteomics/Genomics maintains a 16-node Linux cluster, and an advanced web server from Dell, for bioinformatic analyses. The Bioinformatics Computer Laboratory consists of 18 desktop iMac dual-boot computers, to accommodate one instructor and 17 students. The computers provide UNIX, Windows, and OSX environments for teaching and research.
The computer classroom can be reserved by other departments for meetings, testings, workshops, etc., if available on the date and time needed. To check on availability, please call or email the Program secretary, Jo Anne Gray, at 419-383-6883, joanne.gray@utoledo.edu. A current monthly calendar is posted on the bulletin board located just outside the classroom, showing dates/times the classroom is in use.
