CLINICAL GENETICIST/DIVISION CHIEF

The Department of Pediatrics at The University of Toledo College of Medicine is seeking a clinical geneticist to be division chief and oversee a program for genetic services in Northwest Ohio that is partially funded by a state supported genetic services grant from the Ohio Department of Health.

The applicant must have an MD/DO and be board certified or eligible in clinical genetics by The American Board of Medical Genetics as well as be eligible for licensure in the State of Ohio. The successful candidate will join a growing department of pediatrics and will be involved in genetic evaluation and counseling of pediatric and adult patients with diverse genetic disorders including inborn errors of metabolism, birth defects, cancer genetics and high risk pregnancies. The candidate will have teaching responsibilities for medical, other healthcare students and residents and play an active role in the pediatric residency program. An independent research program is encouraged and abundant collaborative opportunities exist with clinical and basic science faculty.

Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
