How to Apply Application Deadline Date: November 1, 2012 Positions for 2013-2014: 4 categorical 4 preliminary
Length of the Surgical Residency Training Program: 5 years of clinical training and 1 year of research Our General Surgery Residency Program utilizes the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) at http://www.aamc.org. If you are interested in applying, please coordinate with the Dean's office at your medical school to submit your application materials via ERAS. Interview Dates for 2013-2014 November 5, 2012 Candidates qualifications for the General Surgery Residency Trainin2 program at the University of Toledo is based on the following criteria. When all the appropriate data is received, your application will be considered. Invitations to formally interview will be e-mailed via the ERAS program no later than December 1, 2012 Application Requirements for Graduates of U.S. Medical Schools: •Common Application Form Application Requirements for Graduates outside of U.S. and Canandian Medical Schools: •J1 visa sponsored only Reception and Interview Day Reception: (held the evening prior to the interviews) •The reception is held at The Hotel at The University of Toledo located on the campus of The Unviersity of Toledo Health Science Campus Interview Schedule: The interview day begins at 7 a.m. and will end no later than 2 p.m. You will receive an iterinary the week before your interview by e-mail though the ERAS system and your interview schedule the evening of the cocktail reception. Lodging Information: Lodging is available at The Hotel at The University of Toledo which is located on The University of Toledo Health Science Campus. Their phone number is 419-381-6800. When making reservations please advise them that you are with the Department of Surgery and you will receive a reduced rate plus tax. If you are flying into the Toledo Express Airport, The Hotel at The University of Toledo has a free shuttle from the airport to the hotel. Please arrange for the shuttle to pick you up and return you to the airport when making your reservations. Resident Selection The University of Toledo College of Medicine General Surgery Residency Program selects from among eligible applicants on the basis of their preparedness and anticipated ability to be successful in the general surgery academic program. The policy of the general surgery residency program is to consider all candidates regardless of race, sex, creed , nationality or sexual orientation.
