Patty Gelb joined The University of Toledo in the fall of 2012 as the Development Writer. Prior to joining the Foundation, Development, Alumni and Institutional Advancement staff at the University of Toledo, Patty was the Director of Marketing and Development for the Toledo Area Humane Society.
Patty graduated from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC with a B.S. in Marketing and Communications. She spent almost 10 years in marketing, advertising and web development with AAA, first in the Carolinas before moving to AAA Michigan in Detroit where she met her husband Grant, a proud UT Alumni.
Patty is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and sits on the Board of Directors for the Alzheimer's Association - Northwest Ohio Chapter. In her spare time, Patty likes spending time with her family (stepchildren Aaron and Miranda) and her four dogs (Maka, Meli, Molly and Duke), traveling, oil painting and reading.
