The University of Toledo Office of Marketing and Communication hosts an internal social media team tasked with representing the University online. Two full time employees, Cam Norton and Vince DiGuglielmo, are actively engaged in social media content creation, conversation and strategy on a daily basis.

The team creates original content for all of the platforms daily, and is happy to be tagged in posts by other units in the University. We want to help share your good news. The team also responds to all inquiries that come through the social media channels.

Contact the social media team before starting a social media account that would represent The University of Toledo in an official capacity. This ensures that University-operated social media accounts follow brand standards, certain guidelines and best practices. 

If you currently operate an account on behalf of the University, the social media team can assist in the training on best practices and gathering analytics to measure your account’s performance.  There is a science to this.

The social media team can also assist in the planning, supervision and execution of one-off social media campaigns.  They should be informed of any such campaigns at the University to ensure consistency of message and proper support.
