      Outstanding Adviser Award

Do you know an academic adviser who...

      • is committed to students' academic success?
      • has helped students realize their academic goals?
      • has a reputation for helping students resolve conflicts in academic planning?

If so, please consider nominating this individual for the Outstanding Adviser Award.

The Outstanding Adviser Award was established at The University of Toledo in 1986 to honor faculty and staff who exemplify excellence in academic advising.  Academic advising assists students in the development of meaningful educational plans that enrich their studies and promote the achievement of life goals.  This award is one way in which The University of Toledo expresses its commitment to this very important component of higher education.

Students, alumni, faculty, and staff are strongly encouraged to nominate candidates for the Outstanding Adviser Award.  Nominees will be notified by the Selection Committee and asked to submit a personal philosophy on advising and either a resume or curriculum vita.

Previous Outstanding Adviser Award winners are not eligible to receive the award.
