Susan Farrell Palmer (2014)
Susan Farrell Palmer was appointed to the UT Board of Trustees in 2005. She currently serves as Chair of the Academic and Student Affairs Committee and as a member of the Clinical Affairs Committee.
Palmer is the former Director of Development for the Toledo Museum of Art responsible for membership, endowment and annual and planned giving. Previously she was coordinator of Docent Education where she was responsible for training the museum's more than 100 docents.
Twice a University of Toledo alum, Palmer received her bachelor's degree in education in 1970, followed by a master’s degree in education two years later. Palmer has maintained close ties to her alma mater and previously was a member of The University of Toledo Foundation Board of Trustees.
Palmer taught French at Whitmer High School and was a member of the Ottawa Hills Local School Board, the WGTE-TV Channel 30 Board, and the Toledo Repertory Theatre Board.
She is married to Tom Palmer and they have a daughter, Emily, and two grandchildren.
