Anna L. Crisp, Student Trustee (2017)
Anna Crisp was appointed to the Board of Trustees in 2015. She serves as a member of the Academic and Student Affairs Committee as well as the Clinical Affairs Committee.
Ms. Crisp is currently a third year student in the College of Health Sciences studying Public Health. She hopes to use her degree to improve health disparities in the community.
She enjoys visiting her hometown of Bluffton, Ohio to visit her family and attend the sporting events of her two athletic younger brothers. Ms. Crisp graduated from Bluffton High School in 2013 with a class of 87 students.
Being the only campus visit during her college search that it hadn’t rained, The University of Toledo seemed to be an obvious choice for Ms. Crisp. Even more influential to her decision was UT’s campus community and opportunities for student involvement. She shows her dedication to the university and passion for service in a number of campus organizations. Ms. Crisp is the president of International Service Learning, where she plans and participates in medical mission trips. She has provided free medical care to people in the countries of Belize and Peru along with other UT students. Ms. Crisp is also the president of the Food Recovery Network, an organization that collects excess food from dining halls and local establishments and delivers it to the hungry in the community. She is a member of Mortar Board National Honor Society through which she is the co-chair for Wrap Up Toledo 2015. Ms. Crisp is also involved in Levis Leadership UT and Presidential Ambassadors. Outside of her student organizations, she is a member of Little Flower Catholic Church and teaches summer swim lessons at The University of Toledo Student Recreation Center.
Ms. Crisp is employed at The University of Toledo Medical Center in the Department of Service Excellence. As a student assistant, she communicates with patients and collects information to ensure that their experience at UTMC provides them with the best health care possible.
As a student member on the Board of Trustees, Ms. Crisp hopes to advocate for students and encourage them to be passionate about their experience at The University of Toledo.
