APhA-ASP Annual Midyear Regional Meeting 2007. Eighteen students attended the trip to Purdue University for the Midyear Regional Meeting (MRM). The MRM is an annual meeting in which all the American Pharmacists Association - Academy of Student Pharmacists organizations come together, in their region, and discuss and vote on resolutions which will eventually be brought to the APhA Annual Meeting. |

Pharmacy Camp 2006 -- sponsored by CVS, Discount Drug and Walgreens -- drew high school students from throughout the United States. In two, five-day camps, 80 campers experimented in our laboratories, shadowed area pharmacists and pharmaceutical professionals, and enjoyed social events with new friends. High school seniors from Lorain Southview High School participated in the Project GRAD (Graduation Really Achieves Dreams) program, which helps economically disadvantaged kids with preparation for college. More than 60 area migrant and Latino youth participated in "UT Empieza Contigo," an overnight outreach program in July. The program, an extension of the Latino Youth Summit held at UT each May, featured many activities, including a pharmacy lab in which the students prepared perfumes and lotions.
