Dr. Aaron Lengel is Clinical Assistance Professor of Pharmacy Practice within the University of Toledo College of Pharmacy and a Part Time Kroger Pharmacist. Dr. Lengel received a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree as well as a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from The University of Toledo College of Pharmacy. He completed a residency in primary care at the W. W. Knight Family Medicine program at The Toledo Hospital and is a Registered Pharmacist in the State of Ohio.
Dr. Lengel coordinates learning experiences for the Kroger-University of Toledo Community Residency Program and precepts the resident during those experiences. At the University he also lectures and directs laboratory experiences throughout all three years of the pharmacy curriculum. His research interests include community and ambulatory pharmacy practice; specifically diabetes, metabolic syndrome, and billing for clinical pharmacy services.
Dr. Lengel practices at Kroger pharmacy, where he provides Medication Therapy Management (MTM), disease state coaching, and directs screening and other clinical activities. He is also developing a collaborative drug therapy management (CDTM) clinic and MTM clinic with the Neighborhood Health Association (NHA), a group of Federally Qualified Health Centers that serve indigent and underserved patients throughout the Toledo area.
Dr. Lengel is currently a member of American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP), American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP), American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) and American Pharmaceutical Association (APhA).
