Anita Stonehill-Ridner, Pharm.D.
Assistant Clinical Professor 419-383-5236 |
|
Dr. Stonehill-Ridner received her Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences and her Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from the University of Toledo. She has experience as a pharmacist in both hospital and retail settings in the Toledo area. She joined the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences as a faculty member in 2001. Since that time she had the opportunity to work at the University of Toledo Medical Center (UTMC), formerly the Medical College of Ohio, as a staff pharmacist. During her position as a staff pharmacist, she took students on general hospital rotations, and she participated in a decentralized pharmacist pilot on the cardiac floor. She worked as a staff pharmacist for three years, prior to returning to the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences as a faculty member.
Dr. Stonehill-Ridner is the UTMC Experiential Program Coordinator for pharmacy students. She practices at UTMC, where she is responsible for the coordination of their Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience (IPPE) students and the Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) students. She also serves as a liaison between UTMC pharmacy staff and the University of Toledo Pharmacy Practice faculty, in regards to both student issues and patient care issues. The working relationships she developed in her previous experience at UT and UTMC are essential in being an effective liaison. In addition, being primarily located at UTMC she has the opportunity to maintain many of the practical skills of a hospital pharmacist.
Dr. Stonehill-Ridner offers a general hospital rotation in combination with an introduction to clinical pharmacy rotation for the APPE students. She has also developed a structured program for the IPPE students at UTMC to provide them with a well-rounded experience in hospital pharmacy.
