Mrs. Gilis graduated from the University of Toledo in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy.  She has over thirty-four years of experience as a practicing pharmacist.  She is currently a register pharmacist with Target.  Mrs. Gilis is able to bring practical knowledge to the classroom having held positions in both hospital and community pharmacy settings.  For the last 11 years Mrs. Gilis has co-ordinated the practical pharmacy lab with Dr. Mary Powers and Dr. Laurie Mauro.   This lab allows students to experience a “real world” work environment in a community setting. In her spare time, Mrs. Gilis is involved with Toledo Academy of Pharmacy as an active board member.  She is a member of the Toledo Academy of Pharmacy, the Toledo Area Society of Health Professionals, Ohio Pharmacist Association and American Pharmacists Association.
