Kimberly Schmude

Dr. Schmude is a Clinical Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice. She received her BS in Pharmacy from the University of Toledo and practiced independent community pharmacy for approximately 15 years before earning her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Toledo in 2001. She completed a pharmacy practice residency at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan and joined the UT faculty in 2003.
Dr Schmude is involved in the instruction of P1, P2 and P3 students. She lectures in numerous courses in the pharmacy curriculum. Her primary responsibilities include teaching Self-Care/OTC and clinical skills in the Professional Practice Development labs. She lectures in the endocrine and cardiology modules and also assists in teaching drug information. She has been recognized as an outstanding teacher by the College of Pharmacy in 2006 and 2009 and by the University of Toledo in 2011.
Dr Schmude is currently a member of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP), American Pharmaceutical Association (APhA), and the Rho Chi Society. She is licensed to practice pharmacy in Ohio and Michigan. In addition to her responsibilities at the University of Toledo, she maintains a contingent pharmacy practice at Kahler Pharmacy in Toledo.
