Student Organizations Advisory Committee

The Student Organization Advisory Committee serves as an advisory group to the OSA in support of students and student organizations and activities.

The committee is comprised of faculty, staff and students on HSC. Student membership is elected or appointed from each of Category of Student Organizations: 

• Professional/Specialty
• Global/Diversity/Religious
• Community Service
• Special Interest
• Recreation/Wellness

The Advisory Committee responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Coordination of the development of leadership training seminars for all organization officers and advisors with OSA
• Review of all constitutions and by-laws on an annual basis
• Identification of funding procedures for student organizations
• Assistance in editing and updating the Student Organization Handbook and Policy and Procedures Manual
• Selections for outstanding leadership
• Conducting hearings for unresolved grievances brought by a faculty member, the student body, or a student organization within the scope of OSA
