Business of Medicine Club (BOMC)

The Business of Medicine Organization is committed to educating students about the practical and financial aspects of working in the medical field. Through a variety of didactic and interactive learning experiences, we hope to increase students’ understanding of the enormous impact of the business of medicine in preparation for practical application in the real-world setting.

Members of BOMC will have the opportunity to enroll in the new Health Policy and Business of Medicine Preclinical Elective. This elective explores the organization, delivery, financing, and policy (including access, cost, and quality) of health care in the United States. Students will develop a balanced understanding of these issues by analyzing this subject matter through the perspective of providers, patients, and payers.
