Neuroscience Club
Mission statement
The mission, purpose, and function of the organization is to foster and explore the
research and professional interests of the medical and graduate students at the University of Toledo Health Science Campus
in the neurological
sciences.
Membership
Membership is FREE and is open to every medical, graduate, or allied health student in good
standing at the University of Toledo Health Science Campus. An annual roster will be established at the first business meeting
of the academic
year and can be amended throughout the year as needed.
Affiliations
Neuroscience Club is affliated with the American Academy of Neurology.

Brain Awareness Week Educational Outreach
During Brain Awareness Week (week of Monday, March 12), Neuroscience Club will team up with Student-to-Student to do an educational outreach to local elementary schools. The format can include a variety of presentations and cool interactive projects related to neuroscience and depends upon the number of medical students participating.
Elections:
Details will be distributed at the appropriate time.
Positions to be filled:
President: Holds and directs meetings, coordinates club activities, and delegate’s responsibilities for the organization.
Vice President: Assists the president in his/her duties and accepts the duties of the president in his/her absence.
Treasurer: Maintains financial records and meets financial obligations of the organization. Collects all receipts from meetings and fills out necessary financial paperwork.
Secretary: Takes attendance and minutes at all meetings, including typing and submitting them to the OSL. Completes necessary paperwork for upcoming events and business meetings.
Publicist: Responsible for advertising for the organization, specifically for getting all advertising approved by OSL.
Graduate liaison: Maintains communication with the graduate students and the membership of upcoming meetings and events.
Risk Assessment Coordinator: Responsible for determining the risk associated with all events sponsored by the neuroscience club and filling out necessary risk assessment paperwork and submitting to OSL.
