The Student Academy of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (SAAAPA) at the University of Toledo and currently practicing physician assistants in Northwest Ohio are sponsoring the 2nd Annual “Race for Victory” 5K Run/3K Walk on Saturday, October 4th, 2008, at Swan Creek Preserve Metropark. All net proceeds raised by this event will be donated to The Victory Center.
WHAT IS THE VICTORY CENTER?
The Victory Center is a non-profit organization. It is not a government agency nor is it a recipient of United Way funds. Every dollar raised from individual donations, foundation grants, corporate or business contributions, and special events is earmarked to provide programs for cancer patients/
To nourish and comfort the body, mind and spirit during the fight against cancer.
The Victory Center supports and educates cancer patients and those closest to them through individual and group programs and services such as massage therapy, yoga, reflexology, guest lecturers and support groups in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan.

Date: Saturday, October 4, 2008
Place: Swan Creek Preserve Metropark – Airport Highway Entrance
Time: Registration – 9 AM; Race/Walk – 10 AM
Cost: Pre-registration $20; Day of registration $25
Prizes will be awarded to:
- Overall top finisher
- Top finishers in each age and gender group
- Random draw prizes will be given to the walkers
Registration and Donations
All forms of registration are being accepted until October 2, 2008, at 11:59:59 PM. Any registration received before this time is $20. Registration will be accepted again on the day of the race from 9 - 10 AM for $25. Participants are not guaranteed a t-shirt if registration is received after September 13, 2008. Online donations will continue to be accepted until the day of the race. Cash donations will be accepted on the day of the race.
