The 3rd Annual Race for Victory was a huge success !
Over 150 people attended and over $3,500 was
raised !
The Student Academy of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (SAAAPA) at The
University of Toledo sponsored the 3rd Annual “Race for Victory” 5K Run/3K Walk on Saturday, October 3rd, 2009, at Swan
Creek Preserve Metropark in Toledo. All net proceeds were donated to The Victory
Center of Toledo.

Runners & Walkers arrived early to register for the event.
Each runner & walker had their own race bib.
These UT PA student volunteers were happy to provide information and pass out the great t-shirts!

There was plenty of food & drinks provided by the event sponsors.

WHAT IS THE VICTORY CENTER?
The Victory Center is a non-profit organization. It is not a government agency nor
is it a recipient of
United Way funds. Every dollar raised from individual donations, foundation grants,
corporate or business contributions, and special events is
earmarked to provide programs for cancer patients.
PURPOSE
To nourish and comfort the body, mind and spirit during the fight against cancer.MISSION
The Victory Center supports and educates cancer patients and those closest to them through individual and group programs and services such as massage therapy, yoga, reflexology, guest lecturers and support groups in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan.

3rd Annual RACE FOR VICTORY
5k Run & 3k Walk Information:
Date: Saturday, October 3, 2009
Place:
Swan Creek Preserve Metropark - Airport Highway Entrance
A map of Swan Creek Preserve Metropark can be found here: Map. Race is held on the Brown Multi-purpose
trail.
Time: Registration - 9:00 am; 5k Run / 3k Walk start time - 10:00 am
Pre-registered runners & walkers please
arrive before 9:45am to allow time to check-in before the race.
All participants (runners & walkers) must sign a liability waiver on the
day of the event prior to participation. All participants under the age of 18 must
have a parent/legal guardian present to sign the
liability form.
Cost: Pre-registration by September 12 $20.00 - includes a FREE Race for Victory T-Shirt;
Pre-registration
after September 12 $20.00 - includes a FREE T-shirt only while supplies last; Race-Day
registration $25.00 - FREE T-shirts only while

Prizes & Giveaways:
- Prizes for the top finishers in each age and gender group
- Multiple random-draw giveaways for participants in both the run & walk
FOOD and DRINKS will be provided as well.
