Welcome to the 2011 Race for Victory Website!

The J.D. Michaels Physician Assistant (PA) Student Society (SAAAPA) at The University of Toledo is proud to announce our 5th Annual Race for Victory 5K Run and 3K Walk which will be held on Saturday, October 8th, 2011 on the University of Toledo Health Science Campus. All net proceeds raised by this event will be donated to The Victory Center, a non-profit organization that provides services to cancer patients and their families in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan. Their purpose is “to nourish and comfort the body, mind and spirit during the fight against cancer” through services such as massage therapy, yoga, reflexology, guest lecturers and support groups.

Our 4th annual race was held on Saturday, October 9 at Swan Creek Metropark with over 150 people in attendance and was a huge success. Numerous giveaways were provided to both runners and walkers and prizes were awarded in multiple different age groups for the 5k run. A total of $4,198.00 was raised and donated to The Victory Center!

Registration is from 9:00-9:45 AM. Race begins at 10:00 AM, walk immediately to follow.

About the Victory Center

What is The Victory Center?
The Victory Center is a local non-profit organization that assists cancer patients and their families. It is not a government agency nor is it a recipient of United Way funds. Every dollar raised from individual donations, foundation grants, corporate or business contributions, and special events is earmarked to provide programs for cancer patients. 
Purpose of The Victory Center
To nourish and comfort the body, mind and spirit during the fight against cancer.
Mission of The Victory Center
The Victory Center supports and educates cancer patients and those closest to them through individual and group services in northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan.  Some services include: massage therapy, yoga, reflexology, guest lecturers and support groups.
