Greek Recognition Night is Sunday, February 15th from 6-8p.m. in the Student Union Auditorium.
2013-2014 Greek Recognition Night Award Winners
Melissa Anne Herstrum Memorial Scholarship Award — Adria Hughes
This scholarship is awarded to a sophomore or junior student at The University of Toledo, who exhibits a dedication to the field of nursing and community service.
The Beverly E. Hatcher Alumni Advisor Award — Laurel McHugh of Phi Sigma Rho Sorority
This award was established in 1999 by the Office of Student Involvement-Greek Life and is given to an adviser or house corporation board member who exemplifies dedication, fraternal values and exceptional support to his or her collegiate chapter and The University of Toledo Greek Community.
Outstanding Faculty/Staff Member — Sammy Spann, Ph.D.
This award recognizes a faculty/staff member that contributes to the Greek community.
The Outstanding Chapter President of the Year Award — Thaddeus Woods of Phi Gamma Delta (FIJI) Fraternity
This award recognizes outstanding achievements and contributions by a sorority or fraternity president during their year in office.
Greek Man/Woman of the Year Award — Daniel Janisz of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity and Callie Nelson of Delta Delta Delta Sorority
This award recognizes outstanding achievements and contributions by a sorority or fraternity member during their cumulative years of membership.
The Outstanding Council Leader of the Year Award — Alana Brooks of National Panhellenic Council
This award recognizes outstanding achievements and contributions by an IFC, NPC, MGC or NPHC organization council leader.
The “Sky Is The Limit” Award — Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity
This award recognizes outstanding achievements and contributions by an IFC, NPC, MGC or NPHC organization that went above and beyond normal expectations and duties.
The Most Improved Chapter Award — Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity
This award recognizes substantial, positive growth by an IFC, NPC, MGC, or NPHC organization throughout the last year.
The Community Development Award — Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity
This award recognizes substantial, positive growth, and contributions to the Greek Community, the University, and Toledo-area by an IFC, NPC, MGC or NPHC organization throughout the last year.

This award recognizes members of each council that have significantly given back to their council and the Greek Community at large.
