Temporary Room Information

Due to increased demand for on-campus housing, our office has identified several temporary room locations to accommodate students during the Fall 2017 semester. While our goal is to assign you based on your room preferences, please note you may be assigned a temporary room assignment to begin the year. Once permanent rooms open, we will be communicating with students directly to move and get settled into your permanent room assignment. This process could be up to several weeks into the semester.

The following temporary room options have been identified for the Fall 2017 semester:

  • Triples in Carter Hall
  • Lounge space in Academic House and Carter Hall
  • Resident Adviser rooms in Academic House and Carter Hall
  • Apartments in The Lofts at Gateway and Olde Towne (see Frequently Asked Questions below)

If you have been assigned a temporary room please note that once a permanent assignment opens up you will be assigned to a new room space and an email with your updated room assignment will be sent to you. Description of a temp space with end in "Temp" for on campus halls and will state Lofts at Gateway or Olde Towne if assigned to off campus apartments.  If a new assignment does not open prior to moving into your temporary assignment the Office of Residence Life will provide you assistance to move to your new space.  The Office of Residence Life will do everything possible to make this transition as positive and conducive to your student success. All temporary assignments will have the same amenities, furniture, and occupancy as all our residence halls.
