ResidenceLife@utoledo.eduPolitics, Law and Society Living Learning Community
The Politics, Law and Society Living Learning Community (PLSLLC) is designed for first-year, direct-from-high school and transfer students (age 20 or younger) interested in politics, law or social justice oriented careers.
Living
The PLSLLC is located in Parks Tower, which houses only first-year students under the age of 21. Parks Tower offers
residents an alcohol-free environment with two-person bedrooms and community bathrooms. This air-conditioned complex has in-hall
dining which is
open 24-hours a day. View a room layout.
Learning
Academics
are the focus of floor on the PLSLLC. Residents live with students who take the same classes and upper-class peer mentors
live on the floor
to offer support to first-year residents. Programming is offered in conjunction with the College of Arts & Sciences and students
have
numerous opportunities to interact with faculty and staff inside the residence hall. Additionally, residents have advising
hours and student
support office hours on their floor. Download the Academic Living Learning Community
brochure for additional information.
Community
Students living on the PLSLLC floor develop an academic-centered
community with floor programming and social events enhancing this focus. As a member of the floor, you will have the opportunity
to live with
students taking many of the same classes and attending the same college functions.
Students who live in the PLSLLC are required to pay a $50 programming fee per semester.
