Please call Career Services to activate your account if you don’t have this log in information. We need your complete name (please spell it for us!), your phone number and your email address. -Check your profile, making corrections/changes to all your information.
-Take advantage of the resume posting service. Many employers contact Career Services for resumes BEFORE they post their employment opportunities.
-Career Services sends hundreds of resume referrals to employers annually.
-Use RocketJobs for all types of positions: degreed jobs, part-time jobs, campus and work study jobs, and internships.
How do I find on- and off-campus part-time jobs and Work-Study positions? To search for on-campus/off-campus and work study positions in RocketJobs, log in and click on the Jobs and Internships tab, and select RocketJobs. Select the Position Type and click Search. Click on the job title for complete information.
How do I get the best search results for a career position? To retrieve the highest number and widest variety of jobs and uncover opportunities you may not have previously been aware of, use the NACElink Network in addition to RocketJobs. Search the NACElink Network by adding a keyword (example: sales) and a location (city, state).
When I make changes to my profile or resumes, do I have to submit them for approval? No. The changes you make to your profile will not be reviewed or require approval. Any changes you make will take effect immediately. Your first resume will be reviewed and approved; additional resumes are not reviewed. If you require assistance with your resume, bring it to Career Services during Walk-Ins for review.
How can I interview with companies on-campus? On-campus interviews provide graduating students an opportunity to interview with employers from business, industry, and government agencies for full-time career positions. Interviews are conducted in Career Services (SU 1532) for the convenience of both students and employers.
Who is eligible to participate in on campus interviewing? UT seniors and graduate students who are within two semesters of completing their degree program. Alumni may also participate in this program.
Can I upload more than one resume? Yes. You can upload several resumes and can select which resume is sent to a recruiter. You may also upload one cover letter at a time and replace or revise it as frequently as you choose.
Can employers view the information in my Profile? No. The information in your profile is not visible to employers. The profile information can be used to determine your eligibility for interview schedules and job postings.
Can employers see my resume? Employers will not see your resume until you forward it to them in response to a job posting, or sign up for an interview. In each case, you will select the resume that is sent to the employer. Career Services may also forward your resume to potential employers in response to a referral request.
Career Services acts as a referral service and makes no recommendations regarding employers or jobs. We make no representations or guarantees about position listings in the office or in RocketJobs. Due to the volume of job announcements received, we are unable to research the integrity of each organization or person who lists a job.
