Marathon Classic LPGA tournament shines spotlight on Toledo
July 23, 2013On the July, 2013 edition of The Relevant University, host Larry Burns, vice president for external affairs at The University of Toledo, reports from the 2013 Marathon Classic, presented by Owens Corning and O-I. The LPGA tournament, founded in 1984, has become a signature event in the region and has raised more than $7.7 million for more than 110 local children’s charities.

Larry Burns is the host of The Relevant University. Mr. Burns, a native of Detroit, graduated in 1978 from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science Degree. As the Vice President for External Affairs at The University of Toledo, Mr. Burns is actively engaged in building relationships between the University and the immediate Toledo and greater world communities.
