A university research corridor is a property-based venture that has existing or planned land and buildings specifically designed for private and public research and development facilities, high technology and science-based companies and support services; and a formal ownership or operational relationship with one or more universities or other institutions of higher education.
This corridor also conducts scientific research and promotes partnerships between colleges and industry for research and development,
the
growth of new ventures and economic development. The corridor plays a role in aiding the transfer of technology and business
skills between
the University and industry tenants.
