Success Camp is sponsored by YouCollege at the University of Toledo. Transitioning
high school students who have applied to The University of Toledo, but did not meet
the requirements for regular admission are referred to Success Camp and invited to
enroll in this alternative admissions summer program. A maximum of 300 applicants
are accepted each summer. All participants who successfully complete the program are
guaranteed admission to the University, the subsequent fall semester.
Success Camp is designed to ease the transition from high school to college for students
whose academic profile and performance suggest the need for early intervention to
improve their potential for success. Upon enrolling in Success Camp, participants
must complete a sequence of online learning modules in remedial math, English grammar,
and academic success skills to create a foundation for persistence towards a timely
graduation.
Success Camp learning modules are adaptive and designed to initially measure the skills
students need most and focus learning in these areas. Success Camp is designed for
a four-week period and can be completed online. Students must commit to a minimum
of 3
hours-a-day or 15 hours per week, for four consecutive weeks. The primary purpose
and goal of participating in the Success Camp is to improve skill development in the
identified core areas in order to gain admission to the University.
Students in the Success Camp must agree to meet the following standards:
- Successfully complete all learning modules with a grade of C (70%) or better
- Provide email and phone contact information so that Coaches and Tutors can assist with progress
- Adhere to the University's Code of Student Conduct
An invitation to apply will be emailed to all UT applicants that were referred to the program by the Office of Undergraduate Admission.
Please call YouCollege’s main office at 419-530-1250 if you have any questions.
