Success Coaches vs. Academic Advisers

 

SUCCESS COACH

Your success coach will be the person at UT that you will ask all those other questions you have but don’t know who to ask. Your advisor could change if you change your major, however your success coach will be with you throughout your UT journey. Students starting in Fall 2013 will meet your coach in August at New Student Convocation.

ACADEMIC ADVISOR

An academic advisor helps students figure out what classes they need to take for their major and answer other questions that they may have about their future career field. The advisor helps you create a GPS (graduation plan of study), a plan to help you reach graduation in timely manner. Your Academic Advisor is located in your academic college.
