Placement Testing for International Students
Undergraduate Placement Testing
First time undergraduate international students are required to complete placement testing.
U.S. Transfer-In Students should click here form more information on transfer credit.These assessments will be used to determine which course level will be the most appropriate for you before meeting you academic advisor and registering for classes.
Placement tests are taken after attending International Student Orientation

Chemistry: This test is composed of high school chemistry and mathematical concepts. You are strongly urged to review chemistry and math before taking the test so the results will place you at the correct course level. There are 44 multiple-choice questions, and use of a non-programmable calculator is permitted.

Practice for Chemistry Placement Test: The Chemistry Department provides information and a few practice questions on its website at http://homepages.utoledo.edu/ajorgen/practicequiz.asp . It is strongly recommended that you answer the practice questions before attempting the placement test.
ESL (English as a Second Language) NOT THE TOEFL EXAM
