Working directly with high schools and college administrators and teachers, parents students and community leaders, the office will strive to identify needs and endeavor to meet those needs through targeted programs and services.
Examples of initiatives include advising PSEOP students, teaming high school teachers with UT faculty for curriculum development, assessment of academic skills, intervention of strength skills, parent focus and work groups, tutoring and supplemental instruction, mentoring and academic focused campus visits and summer bridge programs.
Students can gain college experience/credit while in high school in five different areas:
Dual Credit: Students take college classes in their high school.
Post Secondary Enrollment Option: High school students can participate in college-level classes on campus or online.
Senior to Sophomore: Students complete their senior year of high school on a college campus.
Toledo Public School/ACT: A partnership between Toledo Public Schools to improve ACT scores. ACT prep Courses are taught right in the high schools.
Educational Service Center: Open to middle schools/high school students to become familiar with college campus through campus visits, athletic events, financial aid seminars and other activities.
