Undergraduate Transfer Admission - Your Next Steps
Step One- Apply to UT. You can apply online at www.utoledo.edu/admission/apply or you can complete a paper application.
Step Two- Send official transcripts from all previous institutions to:

Step Three- Once accepted, set up your MyUT account at myutaccount.utoledo.edu. This account will allow for you to access all the student services available through our online system.
Step Four- On the “New Student” tab of the portal, please check to see if you need to take any placement tests. These should be completed prior to advising.
Step Five- Contact you college to schedule an advising appointment. Your advisor will be able to discuss what classes will transfer to UT and how they will count towards your degree.

Step Six- Complete Rocket Transition, UT’s orientation for transfer students. You will register for orientation through your MyUT portal on the “new student” tab. Transfer students have the option of completing this online or coming to a face-to-face program on campus. For questions regarding orientation, please contact 419.530.1267. If you previously attended UT, you do not have to complete orientation.
Step Seven- Transfer your FAFSA information over to UT. If you have already filed for the current school year, simply log back into your FAFSA and add UT’s code of 003131. If you need to file a new FAFSA, log onto www.fafsa.ed.gov to complete your form and send it to UT. For questions regarding financial aid, please contact 419.530.8700.
Step Eight- Housing. If you would like to live on campus, you can access the housing application through the “new student” tab of your MyUT portal. If you need assistance in finding off campus housing, please contact our commuter service office at 419.530.8521.
