Computer Software Specialist at UT Graduates of the computer software specialist degree program are knowledgeable of the most important software packages used in today’s workplace. Along with the ability to produce professional spreadsheets, databases, documents, and presentations, students will gain important communication and decision-making skills. The skills acquired in this program are very marketable in the workplace.
UT's computer software specialist majors have access to outstanding resources, including prominent software programs, computers, scanners and printers. They have the opportunity to become technologically proficient in all areas of computer applications. In addition, our faculty members are professionally certified and have worked in a variety of workplace environments.
What to expect when you graduate
Career opportunities for software experts exist in almost every type of business or industry including such fields as medicine, education, technical areas, entertainment and government. New opportunities are arising in Web-based areas, as well as the production of printed materials.
Online Option
This degree can be completed 100 percent online, in addition to the traditional classroom setting. Minimum computer skills are advised for online distance-learning courses, such as Internet navigation, e-mail and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.  |

The College of Business Administration has wireless laptops with Internet access and accessories for students to check out and use in Stranahan Hall. The College won Dell’s GenerationIdea nationwide contest for this innovative use of technology, originality and appropriateness to other higher education institutions.

Group campus tours are available Monday through Friday at 10:30 a.m. or 2:30
p.m., and on Saturday at 11:15 a.m., year round, with the exception of national
holidays. Individual admission appointments are available by request.
Individualized college or department visits are also available weekdays at 1:15
p.m. by appointment.
