Gender Equity Awards
We are so excited to highlight all of the amazing work that UToledo Rockets are doing
to advance gender equity on campus and in the Greater Toledo area with the 2024 Gender
Equity Awards! Folks of all genders are eligible to be nominated and recieve Eberly
Center Gender Equity Awards. Each award will have three categories, one for students,
one for professionals (staff & faculty), and one for alumni. Alumni awards are being
sponsored by the AAUW Toledo Chapter.
Nominations for the 2024 Gender Equity Awards must be completed by Sunday, February 25th at 11:59pm.
What We Mean By
Advocacy
Transforming campus culture to improve the lives of women and all people facing gender-based oppression.
Access
Removing barriers and creating opportunities for women and all people facing gender-based oppression to succeed in higher education.
Leadership
Building individual and collective power to advance gender equity and eliminate oppression.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the Advocacy award, the nominees will need to display their commitment to advancing gender equity in their daily lives and demonstrate their experiences with improving the lives of women and all people facing gender-based oppression on campus or in the greater Toledo area.
To be eligible for the Access award, the nominees will need to display their commitment to advancing gender equity in their daily lives and demonstrate their experiences with removing barriers and creating opportunities for women and all people facing gender-based oppression to succeed in higher education here on campus or in the greater Toledo area.
To be eligible for the Leadership award, the nominees will need to display their commitment to advancing gender equity in their daily lives and demonstrate their experiences building power to advance gender equity and eliminate oppression on campus or in the greater Toledo area.
Nominations
Individuals highlighted with our Gender Equity awards for Advocacy, Access, and Leadreship
are committed to the mission of the Catharine S. Eberly Center, working to empower
women and gender minorities to reach their fullest potential through developing gender
equity leaders and promoting educational access for women and all people facing gender-based
oppression.
Nominations must be submitted by a past (alumni or retired staff/faculty) or present UToledo Rocket. Self and peer-nominations are acceptable and must be completed by Sunday, February 25th at 11:59pm.
