Winter Break Hours

Participation in the winter break is expected. However, the university’s leadership team recognizes that certain operations may need to continue. Leaders supervising employees in identified essential operations who are required to report to work during the winter break must track all hours worked during the winter break on the winter break hours tracking spreadsheet.

Employees eligible for winter break who are required to work during the winter break will be allotted hours equivalent to the hours worked on the winter break days. These hours need to be used by June 30th. Leaders must use the winter break tracking spreadsheet to document all equivalent paid winter break hours used, indicating both the date and the number of hours used.

Leaders supervising employees in hospital or patient care areas do not need to track hours worked by their employees during the winter break on the spreadsheet. These employees are not eligible for the winter break.
