It's Your Turn!

Itis highly recommended that you apply what you have learned in this tutorial directly in your own Bb 9.1 course environment.

Best Practices in Higher Education

  • Remember to use the "Export/Archive Course" function in the Control Panel to create a backup of your course site any time that you have made changes that you do not want to risk losing.

  • Once you have converted a course site from CE4.1 to Bb9.1, you will need to "clean up" the new course site. This "clean up" may involve reorganizing materials as well as renaming and deleting items that you no longer need. You will also want to test out all link to files and external resources, such as websites.

  • Spend some time getting to know the new Bb9.1 user interface as well as its new tools and organizational features.
Summary

Converting your existing course sites CE4.1 to Blackboard 9.1 should be a relatively simple task, but you will most likely need to spend some time reorganizing the converted materials. There are also many new tools and options for organizing your materials that we not available in CE4.1.
