Future plans for the center are:
- Audiovisual focus, new and additional computer software licenses, and center wiring for Internet access, utilized to enhance teaching and research
- Holdings that complement literature on educational leadership in the Carlson Library
- Expansion of the scannable survey support for department projects, theses, and dissertations; and university assessment
- Periodical subscriptions The Chronicle of Higher Education and Education Week
- Sponsorship of a major symposium annually or every other year.
