Research and Teaching Interests

My research focuses on the rational design of heterogeneous catalysts to provide fuel and materials sustainably. Specific projects include:

  • Synthesis of fuels and platform chemicals from non-traditional sources
  • Control of the deactivation
  • Catalysis with non-precious metals
  • Catalysis with well-defined structures
  • Bridging homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis

My teaching interests lie in the area of catalysis, surface science, and reaction engineering.
