Sustainability Tools

The following are the tools developed at The Civil and Environmental Engineering Department by the faculty and the research students

BenReMod - This is a free internet based beneficial reuse model developed for comparison of road construction materials.

Building Sustainability Tool - The Building Sustainability Tool helps in evaluating the sustainability of building elements, indoor environment and the occupant behavior, which affects the indoor living quality.

Database for Green Products - This tool has been developed to assist small and medium sized industries in their pollution prevention efforts.

EEAST - Economic and Environmental Analysis of Sanitation Technologies (EEAST) is an excel model developed for comparing water and sanitation systems of buildings such as standard toilets, composting toilets, high efficiency toilets and toilets that use harvest rainwater for flushing.

Energy Efficiency Tool - It provides a complete break-up and summaries of the total annual energy consumption and cost. It helps in identifying avenues for energy and cost savings.

Hybrid HVAC System Design Tool - The HVAC spreadsheet is used for the design of hybrid HVAC systems with improved energy efficiency for a manufacturing facility and the associated office building.

UT Pollution Prevention Tools - This site provides links to the pollution prevention tools developed by the Air Pollution Research Group at the University of Toledo under the guidance of Ohio Statewide Environmental Network.
