Post-Professional Athletic Training Program: Master of Science in Exercise Science

Admissions

Applicants pursuing a post-professional master's degree in athletic training are required to have graduated from a CAATE-accredited professional athletic training program, and be BOC certified or eligible for certification as an athletic trainer (ATC).

In order to be competitive in the application process, it is recommended that our applicants possess a minimum GRE score of 153 verbal and 150 quantative, and a minimum of a 3.0 GPA as an undergraduate student.

Application Procedures

Applications are due by midnight on November 15. Only complete applications will be given full consideration. Complete applications must include both of the following:

  1. Submit a cover letter, resume, list of 3 references, unofficial undergraduate transcripts and GRE scores to Dr. David Bazett-Jones (david.bazettjones@utoledo.edu). Students must indicate their graduate assistantship preference of University of Toledo intercollegiate athletics assistantship (Division I athletics) or the University of Toledo Health Therapy Services assistantship (Toledo-area high school) in the cover letter. If interested in both assistantships, please include that in the cover letter. Only complete files will be considered for admission and for a graduate assistant position..

  2. The application to the College of Graduate Studies at the University of Toledo, which includes 3 letters of recommendation. https://apply.utoledo.edu/prod/bwskalog.p_disploginnew. All fees and documents associated with this application must be received and processed by the College of Graduate Studies in order for the application to be complete. Only complete files will be considered for admission and for a graduate assistant position.
