Experience
Misa serves as library liaison to the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Medical Center, designing and providing innovative library information services and training programs in support of medical education, patient care, and scholarly activities on the UT Health Science Campus. Her other responsibilities include the Mulford Health Science Library education coordinator, and director for the College of Medicine elective course: Mastering the Biomedical Literature-Skill Sets for the Virtual Environment.
Prior to joining the Mulford Library team, Misa worked as a senior information resources specialist, participating in all library information and educational services at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan Medical Library (1999-2008). Her other previous positions include: Librarian, managing the Information Resource Center at the UAW-Chrysler Technology National Training Center (1997-1998); Graduate Teaching Assistant, assisting faculty with research and teaching graduate courses at Oakland University (1991-1995); and Instructor, teaching undergraduate courses at the Guizhou Normal University (1985-1991).
