Sarah Abts

Currently working as part-time instructor in Composition at UT and as a Writing Center mentor at Owens Community College, Sarah Abts' office is in 3013C Gilham Hall (x2419). Having obtained her B.A. degree from the University of Cincinnati in 1974 in the days of hiippies, student protests and revolutionary rhetoric on campus, she went on to get an M. Ed (1977) under the tutelage of the Jesuits at Boston College exulting in Vatican II.

After establishing a family, Sarah returned to UT in 1998 to obtain a secondary school certificate, but then switched to a Master's program in English, graduating in 2003. During these years, she worked as a teaching assistant for Fr. Jim Bacik, as a Middle School Language Arts teacher at St. Adalbert School, and as adjunct faculty at Owens Community College.
