| Breast imaging (mammograms) utilize low dose radiation (x-rays) to image the breasts. Our equipment and mammography
programs are MQSA accredited by the FDA and ACR.
Breast biopsies, utilizing either ultrasound or digital x-ray images on a dedicated system are also offered as part of the Comprehensive Breast Center. Here patients have access to a multidisciplinary team for consultations, stereotactic biopsy, education, all in a convenient one-stop-shop setting. This is located in the Ruppert Health Center at the University Medical Center on the main campus of the Medical University of Ohio. |
