    Heritage Oak Society

The Heritage Oak Society represents the former Golden Oak Society of the Medical University of Ohio and the Heritage Society of The University of Toledo. This society recognizes the thoughtful generosity of those who have made deferred gifs to The University of Toledo Foundation to benefit The University of Toledo.
    _________________________________

America’s greatness is due in large part to the tremendous cultural and scientific contributions which have been made to our society by institutions of higher learning. This has been made possible in large measure through thoughtfulness and generosity on the part of leading citizens who have used part of their wealth to enhance learning and understanding through instruction and research. In doing this, these individuals have appreciated that while they were creating living memorials to themselves, they were at the same time making contributions which would be of tremendous significance for many successive generations.

    - Asa Smallridge Knowles Ph.D.
9th President, The University of Toledo
    (1951-1958)
