Dark girls

OMSS will be continuing our Spring Film Series with a documentary that centers on the topic colorism. The film that will be shown is called “Dark Girls” and it explores the issues that Black and Latinx women face when it comes to the color of their skin. After the film, there will be a follow-up discussion that will allow participants to share their own experiences of colorism and the effects it has had in their lives.

Southeastern Waterspider Performance

Southeastern Waterspider is an Eastern Woodland Native American Drum Group. The group will play traditional Eastern Woodland songs that have been approved by their elders as being genuinely Eastern and indigenous.
